Recruiting Advisory Services

A successful search is only as good as the structure, collaboration and quality of the recruiting process. Mistakes and assumptions are often the case when there is a lack of structure, collaboration, and eye for quality. Strong candidates are not identified or lost in the process because steps are bypassed, interviewers are not aligned to the objectives of the role, and momentum of the search is lost with delays and loss of urgency.​ 

LWP partners with the client at every step to make informed decisions and take an effective approach to understand and identify strong candidates and attract them. 

  1. Shadow recruiting team (whether internal or external) by advising on the search from development of the role through each critical point of the recruitment.  Furthermore create alignment and direction by working closely with the key stakeholders when their role is required.  Advisement exercises for example can center on 1) defining RnR of all stakeholders and what strengths and weakness exist with interviewers 2) building Search Strategy and incorporating all resources 3) pitfalls to navigate 4) building a JD aligned with 3-5 by understanding the need from the role 5) risk management of recruitment and back up plans    
  2. Research past failed searches and identify key take-aways for the future (Provide structure and discipline to increase success on searches) 
  3. Train how to work with search firms/headhunters so they don't take advantage of the search (Their motivations and traps to be wary of)

Recruiting Is Only The Beginning 

There is a myth that if an organization hires someone that they will find their own way to succeed. The reality is that the new leader struggles from day one on how to make the role successful, which leads to a majority of strong leaders to leave or lose confidence in the role within a three to five year timeline. One primary cause for the new leader to struggle or leave the organization is the inadequate onboarding and integration plan in place to make the new leader grow into the the new role. 

At LWP, we partner with our clients to build a comprehensive roadmap on how best to bring the new leader to the organization 

Step 1: Onboard plan focused on all the necessary admin tasks to be in place and leave an "awesome" first impression 

Step 2: Build an integration plan that shows clearing the step by step process and milestones that tracks the progress

Step 3: Review, assess and adjust plan to make the new leader successful
